The Department of Foreign Languages Education, established within the Faculty of Education, includes the Division of English Language Education. The division continues its work with one associate professor, six assistant professors, and one research assistant.
The Department of Foreign Languages Education aims to educate teachers to have social sensitivity, critical and multicultural perspectives on foreign language teaching, and fundamental knowledge and skills following the principles and essentials of education.
The vision of the Foreign Language Education Department is to educate individuals who think freely and critically, have professional and social ethics awareness, show respect to national and international values, can communicate effectively, and are creative, peaceful, self-confident, and open-minded for national and international developments.
Our bachelor's degree graduates can work as foreign language teachers and as research assistants or lecturers in state and foundation universities. Also, they can work as translators, authors or editors, tourist guides, and coordinators in the Office of Foreign Relations. Moreover, they can work in the departments of ministries, the foreign relations department of the Ministry of Defense and banks, state or foundation media organizations, which require linguistic, cultural, and literary knowledge.
